Business Work
One of the main aspects of GTA Online is owning and operating businesses. This is where you will earn a good portion of income if you don't have access to the more lucrative heists. In order to get most of these businesses, you must register as a either a Motorcycle Club President or an Organization CEO.

Bunker (Gunrunning)
Organization CEO (Import / Export)
Motorcycle Club Businesses
Arcade (Diamond Casino Heist)
Facilities (Doomsday Heist)
Nightclub (Business Management)
Hangar (Smuggler's Run)

Business Calculator
I recently came across two websites that are very easy to use and will show you a handful of options per business. You can click what you have, and it will show you the profits that you will make, or how much it would cost if you were to purchase all of the upgrades. It will also tell you how many people you will need to come with you to sell your product based on the number of vehicles the mission will give you.

Bunker (Gunrunning)
The Bunker is where you will be doing Gunrunning Missions to earn some extra cash. This is considered a "passive" business by most players because you have to steal or purchase the stock first, and then allow it to build up over time before you are able to sell it.

First, I recommend purchasing the Chumash Bunker on the west coast of the map because it's closest to the city and easy to get to. (Note: With the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack, you get the Paleto Forest Bunker for free, but it's at the most northern section of the map, making it quite a headache to manage since it's so far out of the way. So, I would recommend just ignoring that one.)

Once you purchase a Bunker and register yourself as either a CEO or a MC President in the Interaction Menu, you can enter the gun making business itself and a cut-scene will explain what it is and how it operates.

As with all businesses, you will have a stock, research, and supply bar that you have to manage. Feel free to check out some of the research options, but if you are trying to make money at a quicker rate, then just manage your staff to ignore researching all-together and focus entirely on manufacturing. When it's set up and ready to go, you can either purchase or steal your supply, and then you have to physically be in the world for your staff to be working on converting that into a stock for you to sell. If you are logged out or playing the solo game instead of online, then your stock won't increase.

When you have some stock, you will see a cash value above your meters. This is a loose representation, because when you go to sell it, you will be able to select a higher paying customer. Once your stock number gets over halfway full, the chances of it getting raided or attacked increases, so just be mindful of that. I will explain more below.

After your value has gotten to a point that you are comfortable with, you can sell your supply. This will load you into a mission to deliver your product to the buyer, and based on how full your stock meter is, you will get between 1 and 4 vehicles that need to be delivered, so you may have to bring along some friends if you let it get too full.

You can also purchase upgrades to your Bunker such as security, staff, and equipment. Doing this will increase the value of your stock and increase the security for your bunker to reduce the risk of being raided or attacked. It is recommended that you purchase all three upgrades as soon as possible.

Some have said that you can delay raids by doing certain side missions, and others have even said that there is an internal timer. If you haven't upgraded your security for the Bunker, your internal time limit before a raid is 5 hours of idle time (not doing missions and just playing around online.) If you have upgraded the Bunker, then that number is increased to 10 hours. Some people have reported that this is false, and even suggested to not get greedy with your payout. Play it safe and sell before the bar is halfway full.

If you are registered as a CEO before starting the sell mission, you can have one of your associates fly around in a VIP Buzzard to provide air support if you think the other players in your lobby will be a problem for you while you are transporting the shipment.

Organization CEO (Import / Export)
First, you need to purchase an executive office from the Dynasty 8 option in your internet browser. I recommend getting Maze Bank West simply because it's the cheapest. (Note: This location is free if you get the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack.) Once you have access and you register as a SecuroServ CEO from your Interaction Menu, you can goin to your office and use the laptop on the desk. You should see a few options that will trigger different missions to start.

Special Cargo will allow you to purchase a storage warehouse that you can house a certain amount of crates in. Small warehouses can hold 18 crates, medium warehouses can hold 42 crates, and large warehouses can hold up to 111 crates. (Note: You can spawn more VIP vehicles from the SecuroServ section of your Interaction Menu by purchasing larger warehouses.) You can own up to five of these warehouses at a time, and it's recommended that you get a large one first, or medium if you can't afford a large one yet. The five best locations (in order) are West Vinewood BacklotDarnell Bros WarehouseLogistics DepotDisused Factory Outletand White Widow Garage. After you have a storage warehouse, you can now start a mission to go and steal crates. You will need to bring along some friends with you, because losing a crate or two means losing money. You can earn between 1-3 crates based on whichever difficulty you choose before starting, and there is also a chance at earning a special crate, however, you can only hold one of these at a time. Once you return the crates to your warehouse, you can sell it to a buyer. The higher the payout price is, the harder the sale will be, so this is where you need to be careful, because if you lose the crates, then you can say goodbye to that paycheck.

Vehicle Cargo is a two-part process. First, you will have to purchase a vehicle warehouse before you can begin stealing cars from three different tiers that are randomly selected. Standard Range, Mid Range, and Top Range (Note: You can store 10 Standard and 10 Mid Range cars in your warehouse to guarantee only Top Range missions after that.) I recommend starting with the La Mesa Vehicle Warehouse because of its price and location. After you trigger the Vehicle Cargo mission, you will have to steal a car and deliver it to your new warehouse. From there, you can begin the second part of the process. Enter your warehouse and open the laptop in the office to search for a buyer for the vehicle. Select "Export," and just like the other sell missions, you want to pick the one that will reward you with the most money (Specialist Dealer.) You will then be asked to customize the car (however you want,) and then SAFELY deliver it to the buyer. The Top Range vehicles will reward you with $100,000, but that number will drop if it takes any damage for repairs. There is a 20 minute cooldown timer between car sales, and you can have three other friends join you to export four cars at a time, though it adds an additional ten minutes per player (up to 50 minutes.) Later, when you can afford a hangar for a personal aircraft and a more expensive warehouse, you can get a location with more open space around it so you can transport your exports with a Cargobob helicopter.

Special Vehicle Work will start up an actual mission with a separate lobby. However, to access these missions, you must first import a certain number of vehicles to your warehouse by doing the Vehicle Cargo missions. Stealing 32 imports will be enough to open every Special Vehicle mission. Once you queue it up, you will quickly notice that the game suggests 2-4 players, so hire some associates before you jump in. Once you finish the mission, the vehicle that you used will be discounted for you in the Warstock Cache & Carry option in your internet browser. After you purchase that vehicle, it will be stored for you in the underground garage at the vehicle warehouse that you have been importing and exporting the cargo from.

Motorcycle Club Businesses
There are five businesses that you can only access after you purchase a Clubhouse and register yourself as a Motorcycle Club President in the Interaction Menu. There is the Document Forgery OfficeWeed FarmCounterfeit Cash FactoryMeth Lab, and Cocaine Lockup.

To buy these businesses, first purchase a Clubhouse from the Maze Bank Foreclosures in your phone. I recommend getting the Great Chaparral Clubhouse because it is right in the middle of the map and it's going to be really close to your other MC businesses. Once you own that, go to the Clubhouse and open the laptop that's inside. You will see a list of buildings for each category. You don't HAVE to purchase one of each, however, it is recommended that you at least get the Cocaine, Meth, and Counterfeit Cash businesses, as they will be the most beneficial to you. The best locations in relation to the Great Chaparral Clubhouse, are the Grand Senora Desert Meth Lab, the Grand Senora Desert Counterfeit Cash Factory, and the Alamo Sea Cocaine Lockup. (Note: The Great Chaparral Clubhouse and the Grand Senora Desert Counterfeit Cash Factory both come free with the Criminal Enterprise Starter Pack.)

Like the Bunker, you will need to go to the physical location for each of these businesses and access a computer that's inside. From there, you can manage your staff, stock, and supply. You can either purchase supplies for $75,000 or go on a mission to acquire them by other means. After some time, your staff will convert your supply into a stock worth selling, but be mindful of how full your bar gets. The higher your stock bar is, the more vehicles will be waiting for you on your sell mission, so you will need to bring along some friends to be as efficient as possible. Once you sell your stock, simply just go back to the business and resupply it to start the process over again.

-0 to 1.5 bubbles filled will be One Vehicle
-1.5 to 2.5 bubbles filled will be Two Vehicles
-3 bubbles or more will be Three Vehicles

Note: The only exception to this will be if you are over 2.5 bubbles filled and you get the mission where you must deliver a product on a motorcycle. In this case, there could be up to four motorcycles.

You can also upgrade your businesses from the laptop in each of them. Similar to the Bunker, you can spend money on more staff, better equipment, and better security against raids or attacks. It's recommended that you purchase only the upgrades for the staff and equipment at all of the MC properties that you own. The security upgrade is unnecessary.

Arcade (Diamond Casino Heist)
The Arcade is going to be your real money-maker, except, it's going to be a little more involved than stealing supplies and selling stock. This is where your Diamond Casino Heist comes in to play.

First, I would recommend buying the Videogeddon Arcade. as it is very close to the Casino. Once you have access to the arcade, register as either a CEO or a MC President to be able to go inside and begin preparing for the heist. Some cut-scenes will play, and then Lester will send you on a couple of missions to get the Arcade up and running. Eventually, he will begin telling you about his next big score, and that's when you have to do a series of "Heist Prep" missions. I will go into this more in the Heists tab of this guide.

Some other side goals that you can set for the Arcade would be to access the laptop in the basement and purchase more games for the main room. The better games you have, the more business your Arcade will get, and the more daily revenue it will generate from operating on its own. This isn't enough to buy you a jet, but it's free money.

You can also purchase a Master Control Terminal for your Arcade's basement to save you some time. From here, you can manage your other businesses that you own from one location. (Note: You can purchase a couple vehicles like the Terrobyte / Mobile Operations Center that will do the same thing as the Master Control Terminal, but you'll be able to drive those around.)

Facilities (Doomsday Heist)
Before you can start managing a facility, you first must purchase one from the "Maze Bank Foreclosure" section in the internet browser from your phone. There isn't necessarily a "best" facility to own, so you will want to look at the price, location, and potentially go check out the area and see how easy it is to get to. For example, the Ron Alternates Wind Farm location is cheap, however, driving up there can be a pain because of the road to get there. It all comes down to preference and accessibility in the end. Being said, I personally purchased the Route 68 Facility because it's right in the center of the map, next to a highway, and there is an airstrip that usually has a helicopter or plane waiting to be stolen.

Once you own a facility and have registered as either a CEO or MC President, you can then go inside to trigger a cut-scene, just like every other business. The first thing that you will notice, is that it's essentially an underground security safe house with a personal vehicle garage. You can store up to seven regular vehicles and five special vehicles here. Another perk to having a facility, is that you get some free ammo, weapons, and can even order airstrikes and mercenaries on other players in your lobby.

The main draw to owning a Facility, however, is prepping and completely the Doomsday Heist. This one is broken up into three "Acts." These are a handful of missions and preparation for heists involving military tech. Along the way, you will earn a lot of money and discounts on special cars that you will use on select missions. However, a full completion is very time consuming, and you won't want to do it all in one sitting. I will go into a little more of this in the Heists tab of this guide.

Nightclub (Business Management)
The Nightclub is one of the only businesses that you actually have to "manage" for it to work at its best. First, based on its price and location, I recommend purchasing the Downtown Vinewood Nightclub. The main mechanic of this business is to hire technicians to supply your Nightclub Warehouse with supplies from the other businesses that you own and then selling them. Some of your sales will be to the north, and others will be around the city, so this is why the location of your Nightclub matters. You also have access to three upgrades, like all other businesses. The equipment upgrade will double the amount of money your Warehouse makes. The staff upgrade will help with keeping your popularity up. And the security upgrade will help by decreasing your chances of being raided. I recommend only worrying about the equipment upgrade unless you want the piece of mind from the added security or unless you like to actually manage the Nightclub itself.

Your club can earn up to $10,000 a day, and will max out at $70,000 a week, assuming your popularity is at least 95%. Your daily income will drop drastically until 75% where you'll be earning just under $6,000 daily, then gradually decrease more after that. To increase your popularity, you can either do missions from the laptop to promote your club or hire new DJs. The first time you hire a new DJ, your popularity level will go straight back to 100%, but will only increase by 10% any time after the first. However, if you are using the Nightclub to generate the most amount of money, then your focus will be primarily on the warehouse.

At first glance, the Warehouse laptop will appear to operate through each of your other businesses that you own. And, in a way, it does. Though, the Nightclub Warehouse is completely unique in its own right. You will first have to own the other businesses listed in the "Warehouse Management" window of your Nightclub laptop. After that, you will notice that you will start with only one technician, with the option to purchase the rest later on (which I highly recommend.) You can hire up to five technicians to acquire additional product associated with your other businesses and then sell them from the Warehouse computer. To increase the amount of product you can hold, you can purchase more storage space. I will list them in order by their return profit and then explain how this works.

Nightclub Warehouse Product Profit
South American Imports ($10,000 per hour)
Cargo And Shipments ($8,570 per hour)
   Pharmaceutical Research ($8,500 per hour)
   Sporting Goods ($7,500 per hour)
   Cash Creation ($7,000 per hour)
   Organic Produce ($4,500 per hour)
Printing & Copying ($4,000 per hour)

After you assign your technicians to these specific products, they will supply your Warehouse over time and you won't have to do anything other than sell it. There are three vehicles that become available to you for the sell missions. In the vehicle workshop, you can upgrade the following with armor and weapons.

   Speedo Van (1-90 Crates)
   Mule (91-180 Crates)
   Pounder (180 Crates or More)

One additional benefit that you unlock after you purchase a Nightclub is gaining access to a Terrobyte from the Warstock app on your in-game cell phone. This is a command unit that allows you to manage all your businesses from one central hub that you can also drive around.

Note: The Nightclub works independently from your other businesses, so, even though it appears to "manage" them from the Warehouse, you will still have to go and do the leg work for everything else like usual.

Hangar (Smuggler's Run)
The Hangar is a business that operates like the Storage Warehouse Special Cargo missions. But, just like everything else, you must first purchase one from the Maze Bank Foreclosures in your phone. I recommend getting the Fort Zancudo Hangar 3497 for one major reason. Owning property at Fort Zancudo will allow you to fly over the airbase without signaling any anti-aircraft machines to shoot you down or earn any wanted level. This will save you some time and frustration when you need to do any supply or sell missions and you must fly over the Fort.

The main attraction of owning a Hangar comes in the form of being able to summon your personal aircraft vehicle to a location near you. This will be very helpful if you are registered as a Motorcycle Club President and don't have access to your VIP helicopter.

You also open some unique distribution missions after you purchase a Hangar. This is where your Smuggling operation comes in. I said before that this is like the Special Cargo missions, and that is due to the nature of how the Smuggling business works. You have to supply your Hangar with different forms of cargo by going out on missions, each requiring you to use some unique aircraft to do so. After a certain number of importing missions, you will unlock discounts on various types of aircraft from the website on your in-game cell phone. There are a total of 14 discounts that will all be unlocked after doing 42 of these missions.

When you are ready to sell stock, you will again be sent out in an aircraft to deliver the goods. Depending on how many crates you choose to sell, and what type of goods they are, you will increase the value of your reward and potentially gain additional bonuses. The difficulty of the missions are also determined by the product selected.

Easy: (5% Bonus for 5 Crates until 50%)
   Counterfeit Goods
   Tobacco & Alcohol

Medium: (12% Bonus for 10 Crates until 60%)
   Animal Materials
   Art & Antiques
   Jewelry & Gemstones

Hard: (35% Bonus for 25 Crates until 70%)
   Chemicals
   Medical Supplies
   Narcotics

When selling crates:
   1-10 Crates is One Vehicle
   11-25 Crates is Two Vehicles
   26-50 Crates is Three Vehicles

Note: The number of vehicles is increased if you get a mission to use a Havok or Ultralight. Any mission that requires you to use the Bombushka is always just one vehicle no matter how many crates you are selling.
